My Name Is Ashley Elizabeth Burke
What can I say about me? I am a self-taught artist from Ohio, I draw inspiration from the realms of impressionism, post-impressionism, and the rebel spirit of 20th-century modern art. I specialize in abstract realism and portraiture, utilizing a mix of media including collage, acrylics, inks, and oil paints. My creative process is an exploration of self. Playful experimentation allows me to express my intuition freely. I base most of my work on dreams, mythology, and the idealistic strong badass woman! Art has helped shape me as an individual, what was meant to be an escape, became the motivation to heal my tormented soul. My gallery is my voice; I hope my work resonates, brings comfort, and enigmatic energy.

Beautiful Expressive Portraits
I love creating portraits using photo manipulation as a reference baseline. I include various elements to enhance the story I create. Using animals, color, and depicting natural elements is my favorite way of speaking to my audience. Everything that I create is personal, spiritual, and emotional. I plan, then I go against my plan, my process goes through phases that can feel infuriating, passionate, emotional, and sometimes simply peaceful. I can't stop until the piece has balance, and a sense of life. My entire soul goes into my work.
